Donovan is an award winning vocalist and actor and has performed all over the world and in major venues including The Apollo Theatre in New York, O2 Arena, Wembley Arena and The Hideaway. He has performed as far east as St Petersburg, and as far west as Los Angeles with quite a few stops in between! He was a former member of the band Heatwave and has performed at the Happy Days and Reload festivals and has done backing vocals for Cher’s 2023 Christmas album, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie, James Morrison and Enrique Iglesias. But it was as a solo artist that he achieved a UK Soul Number One with the song Never Gonna Let You Go and won Best Male Artist at the Bright star Awards. He has supported The Real Thing, Hot Chocolate and Shalamar. As an actor he has made numerous appearances in TV (Top Coppers, King Gary, The Windsors) and Theatre (The Amen Corner, Sister Act) culminating with an award for Best Comedy Performance for Top Coppers at the MVISA Awards (Movie Video & Screen Awards) He has released the album This Time and EP Break My Back and both are available for download on Bandcamp. He is currently working on a new material.
